Cooling towers for SUGAR-ALCOHOL PLANTS
SUGAR-ALCOHOL PLANTS

The Sugar-alcohol plants are industrial facilities responsible for manufacturing ethanol from several raw materials, highlighting sugarcane and corn as the 2 main sources that account for the production of this important resource used as biofuel for automotive vehicles in several countries.

The more than 440 sugar-alcohol plants in operation in Brazil generate about 1.5 million direct and indirect jobs, moving 40 billion reais per year, and are predominantly located in the states of São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Goiás, Paraná, Alagoas, and Mato Grosso do Sul, while globally they generate more than 10 million jobs.

During the ethanol production process, mills use large amounts of water for various purposes, and this water from the process, highly heated, needs to be cooled to be reused, and water cooling towers are responsible for this task, as they ensure efficiency and sustainability by reducing water waste.
